Are YOU living a life by default?

If so, maybe it's time to take a stand.

I refuse to live a life by default.
A life where decisions are made all around me.
By someone else.
Where I am a victim of circumstance.
Like a tree blowing in the wind.
Hither and fro.
No control of its own.

I refuse to live my life under someone's down-turned eyes and up-turned nose.
I refuse to live up to another's definition of what my life should be.
I refuse to revert to the default position.
I refuse to tell myself, "Oh well, it isn’t meant to be."

I refuse to live a life of default.
I'll scream it from the rooftops till my voice is hoarse.
I'll tell whomever is listening, but I only need to convince myself.

It's MY life and I will take charge and I vow NEVER to live life by default.
