One quick way to change your feelings from down or depressed to happy and joyful is through music! Sometimes it is a quirky beat that catches our attention and redirects our thoughts. Sometimes it is the words themselves that lighten our mood. Other times, it is the repetitive nature of the song that seems to soothe us.

Once you realize that music can quickly change your mood, use it to your benefit! If you ever have been driving in the car and heard one too many “he done her wrong” country songs, you know what I mean. When that happens, just change the channel. Listen to a happier song or even meditation or spa music. Your mind will relax and stop the sadness in just a minute or two. Try it!
